Otto International is seeking a Solutions Developer interested in technology and changing the team’s work from ideation to production. You will be part of the team that builds and runs what it creates, giving you a real insight into the impact of what you build on the application system, including new automated workflows and streamlined business processes. You will connect everyone in the application system and help the team optimise business goals

 

How will you make a difference?

  • You will contribute to the development of large-scale web-based applications, utilizing various technologies and platforms.
  • Your role will involve analyzing requirements gathered from the business team and designing appropriate solutions to meet those requirements and goals.
  • You will be responsible for implementing the full-stack solution using a variety of technologies, ensuring alignment with both user and technical requirements.
  • Providing support for day-to-day operational tasks and acting as second-level support will be part of your responsibilities.
  • You will collaborate with the testing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality releases.

 

 

Who are we looking for?

  • We are seeking candidates with a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Ideally, you should have 2-3 years of hands-on experience in software development.
  • You should possess strong skills in Node.js, React.js, Java EE, PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, and JS. Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or Agile methods is desired. Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or Vue.js would be advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of object-oriented programming and experience in web-based application development (MVC model) is essential.
  • Knowledge of Microservices and experience with Groovy/Grails would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Cloud Services (e.g., S3, Lambda, ECS), AzureAD, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform) would be beneficial.
  • Strong skills in system development, implementation, and documentation are expected.
  • You should be self-directed, organized, results-oriented, and have a strong passion for driving creativity and embracing change.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required.
